Construction Guidelines

“Sandy Beach” and right-of-ways are significantly altered to enable heavy equipment access for bluff work and seawall construction or repairs.  Churchill Landing Association (CLA) has measurements in place in an attempt to restore the area to its’ original condition, or close to it.

In preserving Churchill Landing “Sandy Beach” and right-of-way access, all applicants must gain approval by completing the following items whenever the need of heavy equipment is required.

1) Have a signed contractor agreement letter (Click Here to Download) from an approved and bonded contractor.*

2) Obtain a permit from the Plymouth Conservation Commission covering all work.

3) Remit a Sedimentation payment per length of bluff or seawall repair or construction to CLA:

Fees for CLA Members:

The fee is calculated by multiplying the total number of linear feet by $10/foot.

The minimum fee for CLA Members is $500.

Fees for Non Members:

The fee is calculated by multiplying the total number of linear feet by $20/foot.

The minimum fee for Non Members is $1,000.

Payment in full to “Churchill Landing Association” must be received prior to work commencing by Contractor.  “CLA Member” rate applies when membership dues from the prior 2 years have been paid in full.

*Any Contractor requesting access to Churchill Landing Association’s beach must be bonded by obtaining a $10,000 Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit naming Churchill Landing Association, Inc. as the certificate holder or co-insured.  Currently approved and bonded contractor is George Richmond Excavating.
